The Goth and the Pixie was formed in 2014 by Wairehu Grant (guitar; a.k.a. 'The Goth') and Macaila Pescud (violin; a.k.a. 'The Pixie'). Starting as an acoustic two-piece, by 2016 they had evolved into an electric band, with the addition of Lott Larsen (drums) and Albert Bannister (bass). They released an album, Bag of Ants, in November 2017, and ceased playing soon after.
