Pugnaut existed in the mid-1990's, and included Christian Livingstone (guitar), Louisa Soanes (bass) and Ben Cole (drums). Livingstone went on to Trinket (1997-2000) and The Datsuns (2000-present). Cole also joined the Datsuns in late-2006, as a replacement for original drummer Matt Osment. Soanes went on to Tobermorie and Inspector Moog.
The band had the song Jimmy the TFC included on the 1996 compilation In Love With This Town.
