Mantis were a Hamilton band from the mid-1990s, featuring Simon Hislop (vocals, guitars), Paul Schwarz (bass) and Evay Judge bass. They released one album, Nothing Worth Rewarding, in 1996. A track from the album, Stranded, also appeared on the 1996 compilation In Love With This Town. Judge went on to The Slit Family, GodsQ and The Beautiful Burn.
