Mantis were a Hamilton band from the mid-1990s, featuring Simon Hislop (vocals, guitars), Paul Schwarz (bass) and Evay Judge (drums). All three were students at St Paul's Collegiate (class of 1998). They released one album, Nothing Worth Rewarding, in 1996. A track from the album, Stranded, also appeared on the 1996 compilation In Love With This Town. Judge went on to The Slit Family, GodsQ and The Beautiful Burn.
