Darryl Monteith

Darryl Monteith was guitarist and vocalist for a number of Hamilton bands through the late 1980s to mid-1990s, including Joe 90, Whisperscream and Bitumus. He was also the producer of the 1992 HUM Sampler 92 compilation, and contributed the tracks Stationary Man and In America (as part of the Nuthouse Jam collective) to it. He also contributed two tracks to the 1997 compilation Picture This: A Collection of NZ Songwriters. He now resides in Gisborne where he is the owner of Smash Palace, a live music venue. He also plays in bands The Ashes and Kings of Kaiaua with Moses Hiakita (bass), formerly of Bio-Luvals and Whisperscream.
