Thunder Monkey competed in the 1993 Contact FM Battle of the Bands, and a song recorded from their heat, Wide Open Road, appears on the associated They came to take us alive compilation. Another song, Hot Knives, appears on the 1992 compilation Juice Extractor. This song was covered by Disjecta Membra at Circle Jerk 2005.
