Old Loaves is a heavy three-piece band, formed in Wellington in 2009 by Ben Ward, Kalem O'Brien (Batstorm Murders) and Cameron Reid (Blue Cross). Ward relocated to Sydney in 2012 while O'Brien and Reid remained in Wellington. Ward put together a new lineup in Sydney featuring Logan Muir (Diocletian) on bass. In late 2013, Ward relocated again, this time to Auckland. By then, O'Brien had moved to Melbourne, and Reid was now based in Hamilton. In early 2014, the band announced a new lineup with Reid returning to the band, and John Strange (Arc of Ascent, Viking Weed) on bass. The band is now primarily based in Hamilton.
