Merchant Force were a blues band featuring Gavin Beer (vocals), John Moore (bass) and Mark Harris (guitar) who competed at Battle of the Bands 1983. These members, along with Mark Munz (guitar) and Andrew Rule (drums) went on to form Capstan Band.
