Ice was formed in 1978 by Robert Smith (vocals, guitars), Ian Jefferies (vocals, guitars), Ray Koroheke (bass) and Chris Paraha (drums). They are best known for being the resident band at the Chartwell Tavern in 1978 and 1979, initially at one night a month, but for a time playing four nights a week. Smith, Jeffries and Paraha all went onto Young Lust (1979) and The Bronx (from 1980).
