Altitude is located at 30 Alexandra St, and has been a venue since the early 2000s. It has played host to Hamilton bands that can pull larger audiences, including The Datsuns, 48May and Katchafire, and has also hosted events such as the Band Experiments (2002), Battle of the Bands (2004) and World Battle of the Bands (Hamilton) (2004). More commonly the venue hosts popular New Zealand bands from elsewhere, including Elemeno P, Shihad, Goodshirt, Goldenhorse, Evermore, Zed and the Feelers.
