Zoe Cook is a singer-songwriter who came to prominence through the Play it Strange National Secondary Schools Songwriting Competition and Rockquest while at Hillcrest High School. In 2005 Cook placed in the 31st to 50th place bracket of the national Play it Stange competition with her song Take Your Chance. She competed in the Waikato regional Rockquest competitons in 2006 and 2007, taking out the "Best Song Award" in 2007.
She played the 2007 Tempo event in Hamilton and joined Dynamo Go for their Affordable Pop Music EP Launch Party at Ward Lane in 2008. In August 2008 she left for Mexico.
