Ward 19 was a rock/punk band formed in 1998 as Lost Cause by Tony Lee (guitar, vocals), Nathan Waters (vocals, bass) and Evan Clarke (drums). However, they changed their name in 2000 to Ward 19, after a hospital psychiatric ward, with the addition of Brent Burman (vocals, guitar). In 2003 they became the resident band at Soundproof. The last line-up of the band consisted of Lee, Waters, Jake Maryniak on guitar and Emanuel Comer on drums.
