The Red Hot Peppers were a 1970's rock/pop group who formed in Hamilton. Initially they comprised Robbie Laven (muliple instruments), Marion Arts (vocals), Mike Farrell (guitar), Phil Baxter (bass) and Jim McMillan (drums). Hans Laven replaced Farrell on guitar while still based in Hamilton. During this time they released the album Tojours Yours and the single Dreams to Come. After these failed to sell in large quantities, they disbanded in early 1977, but reformed in late 1977 in Australia, comprising R. Laven, Arts, Farrell, with Vaughn Mayberry (drums) and Pete Kershaw (bass). More information can be found here [1]
