Record and Cassette Warehouse advert, 1986

The Record and Cassette Warehouse was active in the mid-1980s, with three Hamilton stores opening in May 1984; Downtown at 416 Victoria St (formerly Tandys), in Chartwell Square, and in the DIC building.

They sponsored the Contact 89FM Alternative Top 11 in 1986, which became the Record and Cassette Warehouse Alternative Top 20 in 1987. The following year Tracs took over the sponsorship, and the Victoria St premises.
