No Fixed Abode formed in Mount Maunganui in the 1990s, but relocated to Hamilton in the 2000s. They play a fusion of rock, reggae, punk and blues. The band has entered "Battle of the Bands" competitions in Bay of Plenty and Auckland, reaching the finals on each occasion. In 2008 they competed in the Band Experiments 2008, but did not reach the final of that competition.
