Michael Charles de Young was born on October 30th 19??. From an early age he had a strong feel for music and learnt how to play the guitar. He was born in Auckland, yet moved to Tauranga in his early years. It was there that he grew up, with his parents and sisters and brother. Michael then moved to Wellington where he began a law degree however, law was not quite where he decided to go with his life, and so after a few years of partying he left and moved back to Tauranga. However while in Wellington he was part of the Ska band, Skapa. Although Michael moved back to Tauranga he did not stay there for long and soon moved to Hamilton aka Hamiltron city of the future and it was there that he became a part of the band [[GIMBIMLYB]] and met his future partner the talented Jane Hakaraia.Today Michael lives in Auckland, and has three equally talented daughters. Unlike other stuntastic musicians (to quote Kanye West)he is still living, and should be be for many a year.

Moving briefly back to Tauranga, he subsequently shifted to Hamilton and became a part of the band GIMBIMLYB, and met his future partner Jane Hakaraia. Today Michael lives in Auckland.
