Max FM is a radio station run by Wintec on the 107.1 FM frequency. The station was founded as The Revolution in early 2004 by Greg Adam, with help from Aaron Maisey, Bart Fine, Natalie Mankelow and James Raffin. In 2005 Max Christoffersen, a staff member at Wintec who had previously managed Contact FM, re-established the station as Max FM. Since late 2006 the station began teaching a NZQA approved programme for students who aim to enter broadcasting.

Max FM became Hamilton's first student station to web-cast and provide total listener interactivity through the station's playlist being available to listeners on their website.
