The Top 8 is a show on Contact 88.1FM modelled on the former Contact 89FM flagship show, the Top 13. The show is broadcast on Mondays at 8pm and is sponsored by Mammoth, with voting online via the Mammoth website. Since Issue 7 (19 May-1 June 2008), Mammoth have published the results in their music guide. Since its inception, Hamilton music has featured strongly on the charts.
