The Recently Deceived are a Hamilton-based punk rock band, formed in 2014. In July 2015 the band won the Waikato Regional Final of the Battle of the Bands competition, and subsequently played the final at the Kings Arms. On 2 December 2016, the band released their debut EP, Use Your Head. The band held release gigs at Red Bar in Auckland on Friday 2 December, and at Nivara Lounge on Saturday 3 December.
