Formed in early 2003 at the River Road flat, and began gigging a few months later. The Brains Trust played lounge, groove, downbeat, jazz rock. The Brains Trust gigged through 2003 up until July when they played their last show with The Sugar Daddies and Amy Racecar at Aqua Velvet, Raglan.
