The rivercity diner was actually taken off the road in the late 90s or maybe as late as 2000/2001. I know because it got parked across the road from my old house and also there was nothing to eat on the way home along grey st except mcdonalds (as the song says). - Geoff
The song was on the album released in 1998, and probably written well before that, so I'd say it was a different piecart, or vanished earlier than you think. -dan.
"Down at the rivercity diner, till a quarter past three"? They were definitely talking about the same piecart, and I'm sure I used to get chips from there at least until 1998/99. Maybe it got taken off the road, reinstated, and then taken off again? Or maybe it was longer ago than I thought...- Geoff
