Maybe it got taken off the road, reinstated, and then taken off again? Or maybe it was longer ago than I thought...but it was certainly later than the "early nineties"; I wasn't getting hot chips from there at 3 a.m, pissed as a fart, at 14 years old (I was a goody-good) - Geoff

I dont remember it after 1993, which was when the Riv closed.... but probably only because i wasnt hanging out in that area at 2 to 3 in the morning anymore! *shrug*

The rivercity diner was actually taken off the road in the late 90s or maybe as late as 2000/2001. I know because it got parked across the road from my old house and also there was nothing to eat on the way home along grey st except mcdonalds (as the song says). - Geoff

The song was on the album released in 1998, and probably written well before that, so I'd say it was a different piecart, or vanished earlier than you think. -dan.
