Shanley Del Morris, who perfoms as Shanley Del, is a country singer, based in Australia. She was born and raised in Hamilton, and is a younger sister of Jenny Morris. In 1990 she joined her first country band, in Auckland, called “The Waltons”, which disbanded shortly after. She was also involved with pop bands Chrome Safari and Gigolo. She moved to Sydney, Australia in 1991. She released her first album, What's a Heartache For in 1991, and another, My Own Sweet Time, in 1997. In 1998 Dell won the ARIA Award for Country Performer of the Year.
