DJ Sir Vere (a.k.a. Philip Bell) is an Auckland based hip hop DJ, who was born in Hamilton. He is known for compiling the Major Flavours CD series, opening the Auckland hip hop store Beat Merchants, as co-organiser of the Aotearoa Hip Hop Summit, and as former host of various radio and television shows including C4’s Monday night Holla Hour.
