Cranium Music were stockists and distributors of psychedelic music of all eras. Cranium began as a mail-order operation run by Richard Stockwell, with a small display in Nonesuch Books, which occupied three different locations on the eastern side of Victoria Street in the mid to late 1990s. During this time Cranium Music ran a specialist late night show on Contact FM.

With the closure of Nonesuch, Cranium Music opened its own store on State Highway 1 near Ngaruawahia.

Many of Cranium's releases can be found in the Hamilton Public Library.
