Zoo Studios was designed and built in 1992 by Zed Brookes, located at Rock 93 FM. Brookes managed of the studio in 1992 and 1993. The studio closed in 1997 due to finacial difficulties.

Hamilton bands who released songs recorded at Zoo included Inchworm (Looper, 2002 and Shiny, 2004) and Love and Violence (several tracks).
