World War Four are a hard rock/metal band that was formed by Paul Martin (ex-Knightshade, Blackjack; vocals, guitar), Cass Wilson (bass, vocals) and Tamati Meredith (drums). This lineup released the track DHP on the 2004 compilation Axe Attack Metal CD Compilation Vol 1. Subsequently, Greg Page of Rumpus Room replaced Meredith on drums. In 2005 the band released an EP titled This Hostile Species. In late 2010, Nathan Waters (ex-Ward 19 bass player/vocalist) replaced Wilson on bass, and in January 2011 Rene Harvey replaced Page on drums; Page now drums for Auckland outfit Ishtar.
