Uncle Sams was located on the corner of Ward St and Worley place, operating in the late-1970s and 1980s, in the building above where Starbucks is located in 2000s. Notable gigs there included one of the last performances by Double Happies in 1985, supported by Hamiltons Two White Eyes, and by Sneaky Feelings, also in 1985. It later became Rivers, and then the nightclub Legends.
