About

The Siren was recorded on and off from January 2005 till January 2007. It is a concept album, detailing the story of a boy who is reconstructed with robot parts after being badly mutilated in a car accident. He grows up to lead a radical political party, with disastrous results.

Several of the songs used to be played by live bands tracey exenola was in, albeit in radically different forms. The Camera and Miss Ananova used to be part of Vetox's set, and The Election, then known as Number One, dates back to SophieXEnola. It's Not Worth the Pain was played in 2000 by Planet Claire.

The backing music to Ghosts was originally written as part of a remix project for Datemonthyear, re-recorded and re-tooled to fit The Siren.

In July 2007, with the release of Scud Of Freedom, The Siren became available to download for free.
