The Greasers were a band from Hamilton Boys' High School fronted by Chris McLay (guitar, vocals), Bevan Galbraith (bass, vocals), Giles Clarke (drums). The band won the 1996 Waikato regional heat of the Smokefree Rockquest, and later that year competed in the Battle of the Bands competition (see 1996), but did not place.
