The Doggler Effect was [[The Shrugs]] first full-length album, released in 2003. Not meant to be considered a debut proper, the record consists of several recordings going back to 2000, in reverse chronological order. Most of the songs were recorded by [[Geoff Doube]], [[Rob Smith]] and [[Chris Metcalfe]], except tracks 12 - 14, which featured [[Neil Ramsey]] instead of Smith, and tracks 15 & 16 which were recorded by the two piece of Doube and Ramsey.
