Soundz Like Hamilton is an annual event run over a two week period during NZ music month by Hamilton City Libraries, which has been running since 2005. Various local bands, of all genres, play during this event. The initial aim of the week was to promote the CD collection of the library, and for the first two years it was held in the various community libraries around Hamilton. From 2007 the event became confined to the central library. In its initial year Greg Page ran a seminar on the music industry.

In the second year of the event (2006) 23 bands performed, including This Night Creeps, Trigger Theory and Eqwanox. Kimbra played at both the 2006 and 2007 events, while DateMonthYear has performed at every event between 2006 and 2009. A number of high school bands also typically play. In 2009 the lineup includes Sumo Love Machine, Red Dynasty and Chuganaut.
