Masochrist were a black/death metal band formed in 1996, featuring Phil Wright (Ruin, Soul Eclipse, The Nightmares, Evernight; vocals, guitar), Julian Baddie (ex-Thunder Monkey, Soul Eclipse, Evernight, The Nightmares and Swamp Goblin; bass), and Dane Bailey (Sinfeeder, Coffee Rage, Soul Eclipse, The Nightmares; drums). All three went on to form Ruin in 2001, and Wright and Baddie went on to Evernight in 2003. Phil Wright also went on to form Casus and CASUS INFLAMED
