While based in Hamilton, ''Marion Arts'' was a member of the bands [[Swellfoot's Assembly]], [[1953 Memorial Society Rock'N Roll Band]] and [[The Red Hot Peppers]]. She had a number of tracks released on the soundtrack to the movie [[Solo]] (mostly with [[Robbie Laven]]; 1978), including one track from the soundtrack on the b-side to the ''David Fraser Orchestra's'' [[Solo Theme]]. For a number of years based in Tauranga, she has also recorded solo albums including [[Solo Performance]] (1992) and [[Songs of the Rings]] (2000). She recorded albums with [[Robbie Laven]], her husband and former member of [[1953 Memorial Society Rock 'n' Roll Band]] and [[The Red Hot Peppers]], [[There's Two Sides to it]] (1981), [[the Lost Angel]] (1984) and [[Silver]] (2000).
