A natural ampitheatre with a permanent wooden stage situated on the Eastern side of Hamilton's lake Rotoroa, beaneath the somewhat iconic water tower, this venue has hosted a number of Shake the Lake and Carols by Candlelight events, a performance by Boney M and several open air film screenings. Access to the power and facilities is organised through the Hamilton City Council.
On the Western side of the lake, Innes common is home to entertainments surrounding the annual Balloons Over Waikato festival, and has been the site of Nine Bands for No Bucks.
