Faces opened in 1989, which had previously gone under the name Roxof, at 15 Ulster St. It played host to 1989 Orientation gigs, including the unusual lineup of Cattlebirds, Straitjacket Fits, Knightshade and Schnell Fenster on 7 March 1989. Mid year, Mudpeople supported Australia's Hoodoo Gurus there also (24 May 1989). The venue later became The Club (~1992), with gigs including Hallelujah Picassos (29 May 1992), and Headless Chickens and MCOJ & Rhythm Slave (15 June 1992). Bars there have also gone under other names at various times in its history, such as The Metropole (mid-1980s) and Zeppelins (1991). Gigs advertised at The Gold Bar were during its time as The Club.
