eightyeight is a music production research and development team based at downbeat studios, lead by Daniel Howard and Chris Field. Over a four year period from 2000 - 2004, with numerous collaborators, they managed to finish one 5 track EP called Cool Drop, and gave away 500 copies. Two of the tracks on the EP were included in H-town compilations Year Zero and Zero Point One.
