Drunken Nights in Dublin was an album recorded by Chris Thompson in 1974. Produced on acetate by Apple Corps Ltd, U.K., the acetate was lost by Thompson, left at the E.M.I factory in Middlesex where it was taken to get a vinyl edition pressed. Following Thompson's return to New Zealand, the master tapes were destroyed in a fire in 1982. The original acetate was stored, then sold, by a well known record shop in Soho, then held by a U.K. music specialist retailer for around 20 years, before being identified and sold on eBay in March 2018. With the re-emergence of the acetate, the album was released on Pinenut Records with a gig at Nivara Lounge on 24 November 2018 on CD (PNR-007), LP or as part of a vinyl box set (PNR-003).
