Produced on acetate by ''Apple Corps Ltd'', U.K., the acetate was lost by Thompson, left at the E.M.I factory in Middlesex where it was taken to get a vinyl edition pressed. Following Thompson's return to New Zealand, the master tapes were destroyed in a fire. The original acetate was stored, then sold, by a well known record shop in Soho, then by a U.K. music specialist retailer for around 20 years, before being identified and sold on eBay in March 2018. Drunken Nights in Dublin was an album recorded by Chris Thompson in 1974. Produced on acetate by Apple Corps Ltd, U.K., the acetate was lost by Thompson, left at the E.M.I factory in Middlesex where it was taken to get a vinyl edition pressed. Following Thompson's return to New Zealand, the master tapes were destroyed in a fire.
