Cane of Punishment is a rock band featuring Andy Scott, with a lyrical style similar to MSU's 'pus rock'. According to their Myspace, Cane of Punishment describes their music as "New Zealand's answer to The Beach Boys".

Controversy

On a tour of the North Island in November 2010, Cane of Punishment were ejected from a Wellington venue after their set for offensive lyrical content.
