Caledonian Hall

Caledonian Hall was the former premises of the Hamilton Caledonian Society, at 146 Grey Street, Hamilton East, purchased as their first practice rooms in 1962. A venue called the Eastside Ballroom was opened in the hall, which hosted bands such as The Avengers, The Fourmyula, The Hi Revving Tongues, The Classic Affair with Reggie Ruka, and Shane. Due to dwindling membership and complaints by residents about noise, the hall was sold in 1986.
