Bleed were in existence between 1995 and 1996.  Their members were [[Shelly Longdill]] on vocals (spelling may be incorrect), [[Maria Eaton]] on bass, [[Roger Milne]] on guitar and [[Clare Baker]] on drums.  They played a number of live shows around Hamilton at venues including [[The Exchange]] and ''Corso Poverty and Recycling Shop'', and appeared at the [[Battle of the Bands 1996]].  The singer's distinctive voice was sometimes compared to ''Marianne Faithful'' and ''Nico'' from ''Velvet Underground''.  The song ''Assassination'' appeared on the 1996 compilation [[In Love With This Town]] and received some airplay on [[Contact 89FM]].  <br>
