Aquarium featured Dean Howie (bass), Blair Gernhoefer (guitar), Ian Sherriff (vocals) and Troy Matheson (drums). Initially forming in Te Puke, the band moved en masse to Hamilton in 1994. They released the tracks Wake up, One Day Cancer and Yesterday's Flavour on a limited edition The Glen EP 7" on clear acetate, and released the track Dispatch on The Fridge.

Sherriff and Gernhoefer played together again in the mid-2000s in a band called called Shimm, who were based in Auckland.
