In February 2009, new rumors stared circulating that the band may change their name to "Amy Race Motokā" inspired by their maori history.  Additionally, it is said that a musician going by the name of "Fagan Son Of Theo" has joined the band to perform the haka as part of the group's repetoire .  This renown performer is said to liberally coat himself in glow in the dark paint before each performance, thereby presenting a modern rave up take on that most traditional and sacred of Maori performances.  This dynamic new genre is often coined as "Techno Hori".
