Amy Racecar released their debut album ''[[Conclusions]]'' in early 2007, prior to making the jump across the ditch to Melbourne. Fueled by a no-show at a high profile venue in November, rumors started circulating that the band had broken up. In February 2009, new rumors stared circulating that the band may change their name to "Amy Race Motokā" inspired by their maori history.  Additionally, it is said that a musician going by the name of "Fagan Son Of Theo" has joined the band to perform the haka as part of the group's repetoire .  This renown performer is said to liberally coat himself in glow in the dark paint before each performance, thereby presenting a modern rave up take on that most traditional and sacred of Maori performances.  This dynamic new genre is often coined as "Techno Hori".
