Acme, standing for 'Aids Carrying Mosquito Epidemic', were a punk band from Raglan and Hamilton.

Poondip (bass) had the concept of Acme after living in Kenya and a garden shed in Raglan, and together with Sol Cooper (vocals) and James Campkin (drums) started writing and playing songs around 1994. Justin Black originally played guitar until he committed suicide.Gareth Pemberton took over on guitars for a while, until Matt Henderson joined and brought a bunch of new songs.
