Editing Hand of Glory

"Suburban Jazz band" ''Hand of Glory'' comprised of [[Sean Lynch]] (trumpet), [[Peter Caldwell]] (acoustic guitar), [[Martin Fisher]] (acoustic guitar), [[Gillian Boyd]] (bass guitar), [[Alec Forbes]] (percussion) and [[Kent Ericksen]] (drums). They released a ten track, [[Hand of Glory (album)|self titled]], tape in 1991 ([[Orange Recordings]] 007). This was followed up in 2021, with an album titled [[29//92]], released via German label ''Thokei Tapes''; this was recorded in 1992, but not released for 29 years. They had the track ''Thing One'' featured on [[Discordia Concors]], three "live-to-air" tracks on the [[Inside the Wireless]] compilation, and ''16 Tonnes'' on [[The Fridge]]. The song ''The Wind'' appeared on the 2020 compilation [[In Thrust We Trust]].

Kent Ericksen writes, 'someone in the audience before the show asked, "Do you guys play dixieland"?, I said, "not really." Towards the end of that show we performed John Cage's piece 4'33". This is still one of the most exhilarating moments of my musical life.
